Do immigrants influence American culture?

Immigrants bring colorful culture to America. No country in the world has multiculturalism like America. This makes it unique and wonderful. Reisman writes” The immigrants, of course, do not merely absorb their new culture. They help to make it better” (4). Americans should not be afraid that immigrants would influence their culture. For example, in Hawaii, most Japanese immigrants while running their businesses, they bring their culture to these beautiful islands.

When ever we go to Hawaii, we can enjoy a lot of interesting things which represent Japanese tradition, such as food, and entertainment. Americans do not have to travel to Vietnam to enjoy Vietnamese culture. They only need to go to Little Saigon in California. There, we can see le Lunar New Year festival, the Mid-Autumn festival, and Vietnamese food. In Asian American Dream, Zia wrote:”New York Chinese Americans had real Chinese culture. They observed special days like the Lunar New Year and Ching Ming, The ancestral worship day”. So, culturally they enrich the U.S.

I like your topic, but you do not say much. You should talk more about why I should not be afraid of immigration. Talk to me about reasons they are helping me. Provide proof of what you say. Do not be afraid to go on and on about this topic. You picked a pretty broad topic. There is a lot to write about. Also, Talk about what makes you frustrated about immigration. Give your opinion baout everything. Do not rely on otehr people's hypotheisis, but your own. I want to see your opinion. Keep up the great work. I look forward to reading more of your blog. -S

I like this topic because it is very broad but at the same time I would not attempt to do this for myself. There are MANY controvesial topics that have to do with immigration such as current events right now in the county just north of Quantico Marine Corps Base, Prince William County. Just recently during the election time on this past Tuesday, they had a certain ballot to vote on with Illegal Immigration. Do you recall what this was? I can't remember right now but I know it was very controversial. I remember hearing on the radio about the county allowing unregistered voters vote anyways, in hopes for this ballot to be passed. What are your personal feelings on this topic? Also, along the same lines as Sandy, don't hesitate to say what's on your mind on any topics of immigration.
Great blogs thus far though just broaden your horizons and speak your mind.

You make good points here, and I'd like to see you expand on the information you start off with. For example, who is Reisman? Providing a credential for somebody you're quoting goes a long way toward convincing readers that your data is top-of-the-line.
Keep rolling with this post, giving us more examples along the way...
